Big Ideas Big Ambitions

Project Outline

On Wednesday 9th March, hundreds of Young people from across Bassetlaw visited the Outwood Post 16 Centre to discover more about how they can achieve their potential. The ‘Big Ideas, Big Ambitions’ event which took place during National Careers Week, enabled students between the ages of 14 and 18 to talk to local schools, colleges and universities about furthering their education and local and national employers about apprenticeships and job opportunities. Young People also heard from inspirational speakers, including Ashleigh Porter – Exley (winner of the young Apprentice) about volunteering, being an entrepreneur or breaking into the world of business.
